The Probe Plus is a 7-piece aluminium probe that is 11 mm in diameter and 280cm long and has a drop-shaped probe tip. The extra length allows for greater probe depths. The Probe Plus uses a lightweight, non-stretch Dyneema cord and a telescopic lock, which allows for easy assembly and interlock. With a new, improved lock this probe is safe and easy to operate with gloves on.

A global novelty, the Pieps iPROBE Carbon, is an avalanche probe with integrated digital technology. It provides a hit and proximity reading of every standard beacon transmitter and enables a short-time deactivation of the detected transmitter (for transceivers with iPROBE support).

The first tone is emitted (beep, beep …) and the LED illuminates when the tip of the probe is about 2 meters from the transmitting beacon. At a distance of about 50cm, a continuous acoustic tone (beeeeeeeep) is emitted and the LED remains continuously illuminated.
