The Float 25 Turbo 2.0 is BCA's mid-sized sled airbag for riders who like to carry a little extra gear. It has both internal and external shovel carry for days when you're digging out a lot, plus 25 L of space, a fleece-lined goggle and accessory pocket, and an externally accessible BC Link radio pocket. The 150 L airbag reduces your burial depth and protects your head and neck. It runs on the Float 2.0 compressed air cylinder, which BCA says can be refilled at around 200 authorized locations worldwide.

BUYERS' GUIDE
The cylinder is sold separately, so budget for it when you order. Before you buy, find out where your nearest refill station is, since you'll need one after every deployment and for practice. If you fly with your gear, check the airline rules for cylinders first. If you'd rather skip refills and cylinder travel rules, the Float E2-25 Turbo is the electronic version. It costs more, but it has no cylinder. The Float 25 Turbo 2.0 is the better value if refills are easy for you.
The height-adjustable hip belt and load lifters help dial in the carry on long days, and the external radio pocket is handy if your group uses BC Link radios. Measure your torso before ordering, since this one comes in one size that fits 44 to 52 cm.
