BUYERS’ GUIDE
This is the pack for people who are hard on gear or carry heavy loads. The wire frame and load lifters keep a full pack riding well, and the heavier fabrics stand up to skis, axes, and bootpacking. The tradeoff is weight. It’s 1,780 g, compared to about 1,170 g for the ultralight Stash 30-UL, so if you’re counting grams, look at the UL packs instead.
The back panel access is a real perk. You can get into your main compartment without unloading skis or a board from the outside. It’s also spine protector compatible if you want extra protection in steep terrain. It’s a one-size pack, so measure your torso before you order. Whatever you carry, put your beacon, probe, and shovel in it and practice with them.
