BUYERS' GUIDE
Size by your ski length, not your height. These are fixed-length skins, so check your actual ski's length against the size chart above and size up if you're between two sizes, you can always trim material off with the included trim tool, but you can't add it back.
Once you've got the right length, plan on trimming the width to match your ski's sidecut, that's a normal part of setup, not a defect. The mohair/nylon blend is the sweet spot for most backcountry skiers: pure mohair glides better but wears faster and grips less on steep, icy skin tracks, while pure nylon is bombproof but slower and heavier. This blend gives you most of the glide with real durability.
One more thing worth knowing: skins are a wear item just like the tail clips and tip loops.
