Extended backcountry missions need real volume, and the Poacher 40L is sized for exactly that, the largest pack in the Poacher lineup. The wrapping molded back panel design carries comfortably even when the pack's loaded up for a multi-day or long-haul objective, and larger A-frame carry loops accommodate wider skis and boards than the standard setup. Dual-position helmet carry, splitboard pole loops, and glove-friendly cam-lock buckles round out a pack built for the most demanding tours, not casual laps. Like the rest of the lineup, it's compatible with the DK Impact Spine Protector for extra back protection.

BUYERS' GUIDE
This is the pack for extended missions, multi-day objectives, or anyone who consistently needs more room than the 32L gives you, hut trips, longer traverses, or just carrying extra layers and gear for a full day out. The wider A-frame carry loops are worth knowing about if you're running wider skis or a bigger splitboard, standard loops can feel tight on wide gear, these are built with more room. Glove-friendly buckles matter more than they sound like on a cold transition, you shouldn't have to pull your gloves off just to adjust your pack. Same spine protector compatibility as the 32L, so if impact protection matters to you, that upgrade is available here too.
