The Venet Tour 28 S is the short-back version of Ortovox’s cleverly designed ski touring pack, built from 100% recycled material. Narrow hip fins, load control cords, and the Full Contact Light back system keep it snug against your body, and the spacious main compartment has side access so you can get at your gear on the move. A separate safety compartment holds your shovel and probe, and a top pocket keeps gloves and goggles handy. At 28 L and 1.1 kg, it’s a comfortable, versatile pick for ski touring days.

BUYERS’ GUIDE
The “S” in the name is for short, so this is the pack for shorter torsos. If you’re not sure which fit you need, measure your back length and call us before you order. It’s also the sibling of the Venet Tour 30, with 2 L less volume and about 70 g less weight. The separate safety compartment is the feature to look at. It keeps your shovel and probe apart from your other gear, so you can grab them fast. The side access zipper is handy on a cold transition, since you can reach a layer or a snack without unloading your skis. Ortovox rates it 5/5 for ski touring but only 3/5 for freeride, so it’s built for the uphill and the tour. This pack doesn’t have an airbag, so if you want one, ask us about Ortovox’s AVABAG packs. Whatever you carry, pack your beacon, probe, and shovel, and practice with them.
